"I didn’t really care for CrossFit much but wanted to feel strong again and entertained this process just to be polite thinking there was no way they could help me given my issues. I was so very wrong. The first day I met with Logan, he put me through a movement screen and translated it all back to me in plain English and showed me what I can do currently, what we are going to be working on together and what the goal was. So we started doing 1-on-1S together.

Fast forward a few months and I am stronger and more confident than ever, spending less time going to massages and chiropractors, all while being pain free in my day to day life. "In the fall of 2021, I injured my shoulder while lifting and struggled with pain, mobility, and even sleeping. Logan assessed my entire body, not just the injury, and created a program to strengthen and treat the root cause. Midway through, I developed knee pain, and Logan adjusted the plan to address both issues. By the end of my sessions, I was pain-free, sleeping better, and stronger than ever—going from a 10lb high pull to a 70lb pull. I joined SDA in August 2022 with some minor pain and restrictions, but the team immediately worked with me to address and relieve those issues. In January 2024, I faced a major setback with a shoulder injury requiring surgery. Logan was incredible throughout the entire process—preparing me before surgery to ensure the best recovery and guiding me through post-surgery rehab.

Even when my upper body was restricted, Logan always had a plan for me, so I never felt left out or stagnant. His meticulous approach to range of motion, strength, and mental recovery helped me rebuild not just my shoulder but my confidence. Now, six months post-op, I’m back in class with minimal restrictions, performing some movements better than ever.

I started coming to SDA with my husband, Travis, who encouraged me to try CrossFit for both my mental health and as something we could do together. Early on, I realized my past knee injuries were holding me back, so I began working one-on-one with Nathan to rebuild strength and confidence.

Having dislocated both knees twice in high school, I spent years believing I’d never move without pain again. But Nathan and Logan sat me down and assured me they could help me regain the ability to do everything I wanted—and more. That was when I decided to go all in on myself and begin the journey.
Before working with Nathan, I couldn’t get through a class workout or perform a single squat without pain or failure. Now, I can squat and complete workouts with little to no pain, and I’ve regained 100% of my confidence. Even after re-injuring my knee last year, the SDA team was there to help me rebuild and push through every challenge, from knee issues to mental health struggles and even my husband’s time away at military training.

The most rewarding part of this journey has been proving to myself that I’m not broken—I just needed the right support and adjustments.
